After-life for your PowerPoint Presentation
Dear Listserv members,
What should you do with your PowerPoint presentation after delivering it at a meeting? You might use the presentation for future meetings.
How would you make you presentation available more widely? If you have a website, then you might wish to publish to your web site. This requires a learning curve.
Are there any other options? If you have.gmail account, then you can upload videos to the YouTube - to your own channel. To do this you have to export your presentation as a movie from your PowerPoint Software. Then you can upload the video to your YouTube account/channel. This is fairly straight forward. There you can set the permission to be viewable only by you or those whom you invite or those who have the link or go public.
Another but, much more expensive option is to subscribe to iSpring Cloud, and upload the presentation as an online presentation to the iSpring Cloud directly from PowerPoint. Again you can set who can view your uploaded presentation. If you obtain an academic subscription the price might be 60% of the regular licence. Unless you are going to upload regularly, this is not necessarily a cost effective option
The other option which I have not tried but, viewed presentations which have been uploaded by other is through uploading to Slideshare.
If are a member of the Neurosurgery Listserv, you can also email your presentation (versions: unnarrated, narrated or as a video file), which I can upload to the YouTube Channel of the ListServ (which is technically mine) and I can then list it in our Library and circulate a notice about it in the Listserv.
When publishing a presentation online, it is worth including a disclaimer early in the presentation, that medical information is ever changing and the viewer should consult the original sources and up-to-date information.
Your Presentaion derserves to result in wider benefit and these are the methods I know of for you to get it out to a wider audience.
If you know of otherways, please share them in the comment section below.
